HYDRAULIC TILE WITH STEEL SLAG

Hydraulic pavement tile using steel slag in its composition. That material replaces silica in the manufacturing of hydraulic tiles that are not white. Slag is a recycled material, from blast furnace production at steelworks. The baseline content is

15.33%. It holds an EPD verified by Tecnalia.

Replacing silica stone by slag lowers the carbon footprint by 3.2%.
Include a waste material in its composition prevents 1.3 kg of slag from ending up in landfill for each Bilbao pavement tile (4*30*30).
