Construction materials
The insulating foam is an innovative insulating material developed from wood sawdust, a by-product of the forestry industry in the Basque Country.
Its manufacture, led by the consortium coordinated by Baskegur, with the participation of the UPV/EHU, EBAKI, ISOVAS and MasD, makes it possible to replace traditional oil-based insulation with a sustainable solution with equivalent technical qualities.
Thanks to the biorefining process, natural polyols are obtained from sawdust, converting a waste product into a high added value material for construction.
