TOSHIBA SATELLITE REFURBISHED

The Toshiba Satellite l735-13g laptops were purchased by the Department of Education between 2011 and 2021 as part of the Eskola 2.0 programme and are currently being replaced with new equipment.

With the collaboration of schools (and trainees), they are being reconditioned by exchanging disks for new SSDs, adding more RAM and installing the TxikiLinux operating system.

Recovery rate of more than 70% of each refurbished computer.
3 to 5 year extension of useful life.
1000 computers have been sent to African countries that would otherwise end up in landfills or incinerators. More than 2000 since 2022.
