FOOD DONATION

Uvesco, parent company of BM Supermarkets and Super Amara, has launched a project whereby it donates its surplus food directly from the shops.

Donating from the shop is a logistical challenge, but it also offers the possibility of donating food very close to its expiry date, as it will be consumed on the same day.

Similarly, it allows you to help a wider range of charities, rather than focusing all donations on one.

This means a greater involvement in the community and a wider reach of people who can receive these donations.
